Search
Press / anywhere (outside a text field) to jump into the header search box. Enter, or “Search all results,” takes you to the full search page — two tabs, Conversations and Customers. That’s the whole scope: those are the only two things Held Open searches. Saved replies aren’t searchable.
Customers are matched on name, email, company, and phone.
Search modes
Section titled “Search modes”Auto, Keyword, and Semantic tabs. Semantic is greyed out unless your instance has a semantic-search backend configured — if it’s not available, that’s why, not a bug.
Query syntax
Section titled “Query syntax”The full search page’s keyword search supports quoted phrases, OR, and
excluding a term with a leading -. The quick header box doesn’t — it
strips that kind of syntax deliberately, so quotes and operators only do
something once you’re on the full page. There’s no status: or from:
field-scoped syntax; use the Filters panel for that instead.
Filters
Section titled “Filters”On the Conversations tab, a Filters button opens: Mailboxes (multi-select), Status, Assignee, Type, Attachments (yes/no), a date range, and Tag. Filters apply only within your current workspace — there isn’t yet a way to save a filter combination for reuse; each search starts from scratch.
Search everywhere
Section titled “Search everywhere”If you belong to more than one workspace, Search everywhere in the sidebar searches across all of them at once. It’s simpler than per-workspace search — no filters, just a cosmetic workspace picker over the results. You can include or exclude any individual workspace from merged search (and the merged inbox) via a toggle in that workspace’s sidebar entry.
